I’m Sarah Hill, founder and principal designer of Sarah Michelle Interiors, an Austin based interior design studio creating refined residential environments where technical precision meets effortless livability.

My work begins with the architecture of daily life. Layout, circulation, scale, and function establish the rhythm of a home, while materiality, custom details, and thoughtful contrast give it depth. Every decision is considered so the finished space feels resolved, intuitive, and completely natural to live in.

I don’t design toward a single aesthetic or impose a recognizable formula. The most compelling interiors feel unmistakably connected to the people who inhabit them. I’m drawn to expressive materials, rich texture, sculptural forms, and unexpected combinations, but each home develops its own visual language through the client’s personality, history, and way of living.

My connection to design began in a family of makers and artists, surrounded by homes filled with craftsmanship, character, and soul. From exploring my grandmother’s sewing studio to studying historic architecture and the details of beautifully made objects, I developed an early appreciation for interiors that feel collected, deeply personal, and built to endure.

Professionally, I bring more than eight years of hands on experience across luxury residential design, construction coordination, and high end furnishings. That technical foundation informs my understanding of proportion, spatial planning, procurement, and the level of precision required to move a project from concept through execution.

The result is a home with presence. One that functions beautifully, reveals itself through layers, and feels entirely, unapologetically yours.
